Deciding to have a VBAC can be a very difficult decision.  I know mothers that have had  successful VBAC’s and some that just don’t trust their bodies to birth naturally.  Every situation is different.  As a mother and doula, who promotes natural childbirth,  I feel like anything is possible IF you really want it and prepare for it.

With the right support, education, and preparation, you CAN achieve your DREAMS!

I found this inspiring interview and story of a mother who desired a natural childbirth, but just didn’t get it the first 3 times.

I am totally amazed at this woman’s story.   She educated herself, found an OB that would work with her, created a healthy pregnancy, had a doula, and an awesome support group.  This birth ended up being “mostly” natural.  She did have a little pain medicine towards the end, BUT she totally beat the odds and had a Vaginal Birth After 3 C-Sections!  She is an inspiration!  Way to go MOM!

“Natural labour & vaginal delivery were WAY harder than I ever imagined. But I’m so glad I did it. I’m proud of myself for beating the odds and having a (mostly) natural VBA3C, and a 10 lb baby girl at that! I’m quite sure that’s what winning a marathon feels like! “
